Summer afternoons in Fair Harbor were most often spent on the edge of the dock with our feet dangling over the edge slurping on a mint chip or cake batter ice cream milkshake from Unfriendly’s. After spending the day under the sun, some rest and creamy hydration was all we needed to refuel. To this day, nothing beats a soft chocolate cone with rainbow sprinkles in the middle of August. As our bodies have gotten older, they can’t quite handle those daily milkshake runs like they used to.
